Nicole earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a focus on adolescent conflict, from Florida Atlantic University. Nicole qualified for her master’s degree in social work at Columbia University. Her work in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and Addiction Recovery has allowed her to be involved with individuals who are breaking cycles of trauma that have frequently been intergenerational. She also enjoys facilitating a Community Emotional Resilience course that helps individuals, couples, and families develop skills to cope with unexpected or unwanted life transitions successfully.

Nicole’s training includes Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Prolonged Grief Therapy. She has completed training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and level one of The Gottman Method, both of which have shown positive evidence-based outcomes for couples.
