We partner with physicians, hospitals, discharge planners, and other care providers to connect your clients with compassionate, professional mental health support for individuals, children, teens, couples, and families at every stage of life.
At Serenity Place, our mission is to meet people where they are and guide them toward lasting emotional wellness. We offer therapy, psychiatric medication management, and family and couples counseling across Maryland and Texas, with virtual care available statewide in both.
Before submitting a referral, call us to confirm we're a good fit, then send it by fax or email (or use our referral sheet below), and our care coordination team will contact your client within 1–3 business days. With client consent, we're happy to coordinate care and share treatment updates with your office.

In-Person Locations
Virtual appointments are the fastest path to care in Maryland. In Texas, in-person appointments are available in Houston, San Antonio, and Lubbock.

Daytime virtual appointments available immediately; afternoons and evenings typically within 1–4 weeks.

With your client's consent, we're happy to keep you in the loop on your client's progress, because good care is a team effort.

Virtual therapy is available statewide in Maryland and Texas, making it especially accessible for teens and families with busy schedules. In-person appointments are available at our Maryland and Texas locations.
We are an outpatient practice. For clients requiring intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, or inpatient services, we're happy to assist with appropriate referrals.

Step One
Call Our Office
Before submitting a referral, give us a call to make sure we're a good fit for your client. We'll go over availability, presenting concerns, and any other details that help us decide together if we can meet their needs.
Step Two
Submit Your Referral
Once we've confirmed we can accommodate your client, send us your referral by fax or email. You can also download and complete our referral sheet below for faster processing.
Step Three
Ongoing Care
Our care coordination team will reach out to your client within 1–3 business days to schedule an intake appointment. With client consent, we're glad to coordinate care and share treatment updates with your office going forward.
Our Offices
In-person therapy is available at our Maryland and Texas locations in Leonardtown, Prince Frederick, La Plata, Lubbock, San Antonio, and Houston. Licensed therapists provide evidence-based treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and other mental health concerns in a private, face-to-face setting.

How quickly can my client be seen?
For virtual appointments with private insurance, clients are typically scheduled within 1–4 weeks. In-person availability varies by location — please contact us for current wait times.
Do you accept Medicaid or Medicare?
We primarily accept major private commercial insurance plans, as well as Medicaid and Medicare plans. Please visit our Insurance & Billing page for the most current information, or contact our team directly.
Will you keep me updated on my patient's care?

What if my client needs a higher level of care?
We are an outpatient practice. If a client requires intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, or inpatient services, we will work with your office to help connect them with appropriate resources.
Can I refer a child, teen, or family?
Absolutely. We welcome children, teenagers, couples, and families. Virtual therapy is a great option for teens, especially offering flexibility and accessibility. Please contact our care coordination team to discuss availability and find the right fit for your client.
