Integrating Care: How Medication Management Supports Mental Health

Expanding Access to Mental Health Care at Serenity Place

We’re excited to share that Serenity Place is expanding access to mental health care through the addition of Brittany Szaks, PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner).

With over two decades of experience in pediatric, emergency, and behavioral health settings, Brittany brings both skill and empathy to her practice. She offers medication management, psychiatric evaluations, and collaborative care designed to support patients through every stage of their mental health journey.

Brittany’s approach is straightforward and compassionate. She focuses on helping each person feel seen, heard, and supported— bridging the gap between medical and therapeutic care. Her work reflects Serenity Place’s mission to make quality mental health support accessible, comprehensive, and personalized.

Why Medication Management Matters

Medication can be a valuable tool in managing mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and mood disorders. When used alongside therapy and lifestyle support, it can help people achieve balance and stability.

Brittany works closely with each patient to find the right approach for their unique needs. She helps monitor progress, adjust treatment, and ensure ongoing support so patients never feel like they’re navigating this process alone.

A Holistic, Collaborative Approach

At Serenity Place, we believe that the best care happens when medical and therapeutic professionals work together. Brittany partners with our team of therapists to create integrated care plans that address both the biological and emotional sides of mental health.

This collaboration means patients can receive continuity of care in one place. From therapy sessions to medication consultations, treatment is more coordinated and less stressful.
